Each Happy Tears handkerchief is handmade in our Nottingham studio using traditional cotton net and Nottingham lace – both expertly woven at one of the UK’s last remaining lace makers. Each Happy Tears handkerchief is lovingly handmade in our Nottingham studio using traditional cotton net and Nottingham lace – both expertly woven at one of the UK’s last remaining lace makers.

Whether it’s for the bride, Mother of the Bride, or Mother of the Groom, this delicate lace hankie is a meaningful way to catch joyful tears and create a lasting keepsake.

Personalise it with your own wedding date, embroidered in your choice of thread colour, for a truly one-of-a-kind heirloom that will be treasured for years to come.

Many of today’s handkerchiefs are made using nylon lace, but here at Extra Special Touch, we love traditional cotton Nottingham lace. We make our own ladies handkerchiefs in our Nottingham studio, using locally made Nottingham lace. The Nottingham lace we use is made in the last factory of its kind in the UK, Cluny Lace and it’s only a few miles away from our sewing studio. We have recently invited into the factory to see how the lace is made.
Have the recipients name, initials or short message embroidered in a choice of colours and lettering styles.
If you want to keep the vintage wedding look, chose a pale colour for the embroidery.
