Each Happy Tears Handkerchief is handmade in our Nottingham studio using traditional cotton net and Nottingham lace, both made locally just a few miles from our workshop. Each Happy Tears Handkerchief is handmade in our Nottingham studio using traditional cotton net and Nottingham lace, both made locally just a few miles from our workshop.

A thoughtful gift for a bride, Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom, it’s perfect for catching a few happy tears on the wedding day and keeping as a special reminder afterwards.

Personalised with your wedding date and embroidered in your choice of thread colour, each handkerchief is made to order and designed to be treasured for years to come.

Many modern lace handkerchiefs are made from synthetic lace, but ours are made using traditional Nottingham lace woven on vintage looms to original Victorian designs.

We make our own ladies handkerchiefs in our Nottingham studio, using locally made Nottingham lace. The Nottingham lace we use is made in the last factory of its kind in the UK, Cluny Lace and it’s only a few miles away from our sewing studio. We have recently invited into the factory to see how the lace is made.
Have the recipients name, initials or short message embroidered in a choice of colours and lettering styles.
If you want to keep the vintage wedding look, chose a pale colour for the embroidery.
