Covid-19 and How We are Planning to Work Through It.

I, as I’m sure many of us at the moment, am in complete shock of what is happening with Covid-19 in the UK and around the globe. It was very surreal watching Boris Johnson Press Conference yesterday evening, and actually felt like it was part of a film and not reality at all.
Extra Special Touch comprises of a small, dedicated team at our studio in Nottingham. We have already discussed this week how we can work through Covid-19, and decided on new working methods.
We will clean down all working areas with disinfectant at the beginning and end of each day. We already wash our hands regularly, but we will do this more often and use hand sanitiser throughout the day too.
We post our parcels via Royal Mail, and this is there guidelines.
We will do our upmost to continue business as normal, while ensuring our small, dedicated team stay safe and well. We only sell online, and our website and Etsy shop will be taking orders as normal. Shipping times may vary, so please contact us if you would like something urgently.
We pride ourselves on buying British whenever possible, so we are not reliant on stock being imported from outside of the UK.
If you have placed a deposit with us for your wedding or event, which may have to be postponed – we of course will work with you to make your order for your new date instead.
For anyone thinking of buying personalised pieces for their Spring 2020 weddings, please consider not adding a date to your handkerchief or garter. So, if your wedding does have to be postponed, your gifts are completely transferable.

I have added some links below to various features for Wedding Planning and Covid-19.

Stay safe everyone, and please feel free to contact me if we can help in anyway with your wedding.

Updated 23-3-2020
Earlier this week, I realised we wouldn’t be able to continue to run my business (we are all either personally classed as high risk or a member of our family is), in it current form over the next few weeks / months.
After discussing options with my amazing team , we have decided to each set up a mini studio from our homes. This means we can carry on to make your napkins, hankies and garters and actively social distancing ourselves from our working environment.
Orders might be slower, postage maybe delayed….. however, we will do everything we can to look after our lovely customersΒ ❤

We will only be dispatching orders once a week, and there maybe delays with Royal Mail. So, orders will take longer than usual to get to you.
We cannot make our full range of items from our home studio’s, so you will see many items showing as “Out of Stock”. These will all be back to normal once we get back into our studio.

Thank you so much to Sarah Morris and Toniann Harwood for once again, going above and beyond and being the best team ever!!!

Take care, stay safe and stay home!!

Heidi x
