How We Can Help if your Wedding Postponed due to Covid-19?
Many of my couples have been in touch as their wedding has been postponed due to Covid-19.
If you have bought personalised wedding gift from us, with your wedding date embroidered – we can help you with altering your items or buying a new item with a discount.
Wedding Handkerchiefs
Have you ordered personalised handkerchiefs for your Mum and Dad for your wedding day, and had the wedding date embroidered? But, you’ve now had your wedding postponed due to Covid-19? There are a couple of options you can choose, rather than buying a brand new handkerchief.
Add your new date onto your handkerchief?
I know it is very easy to get down that your big day has had to be postponed, but why not try to embrace the new date and see it as a positive step to help social distancing and remember… we are making history.

We can add your new date to the handkerchief you have already bought. You could add this in the same embroidery colour, or in a different colour to make a feature of it.

We are charging only £6 to embroider the new date on each hankie, plus postage to send back to you. Postage charge is £4.95, this will be the same charge for however many hankies we are sending back to you.
Remove your original date and embroider a new date?
To be honest, trying to unpick small embroidery stitches isn’t very easy. This isn’t a service we are going to offer ourselves, but if you would like to have a try yourself and then send us the hankie to add the new date, here are some tips below.
– use a small, sharp pair of scissors. We use special embroidery scissors, which have a very sharp point and can cut threads very close. You might be able to use sharp nail scissors you have at home.
– Make sure you are in good natural light, and you might need a magnify glass to help you see the tiny stitches
– Try not to cut or damage the fabric while you are unpicking. Once the fabric has been damaged, it will fray and cannot be embroidered.
Once you have unpicked your date, send the hankie back to us and we will embroider with your new date. Please enclose in your parcel your full name, delivery address, email address and new date details. Personlaised Garters
If you have ordered a personalised garter from us, and would like to add your postponed wedding date, we can help.
Send your garter back to us and we will embroider a new label and sew into the back of your garter. We will sew a new piece of silk fabric with your date embroider, on to, or your original date. This will make it feel slightly thicker than it does with just the original date sewn in.
