Classic Fairytale Wedding with Personalised Handkerchiefs and Napkins
Hothorpe Hall was the perfect setting for this classic fairytale wedding styled shoot, with a white gold and sparkle theme it oozes sophistication and glamour. We were absolutely delighted to provide both the personalised monogram bridal handkerchief made from Nottingham lace and the personalised monogram wedding napkins for the tablescape. Here we hear from shoot co-ordinator Natalie Beniston from Beautiful Arches Weddings who tells us all about the inspiration behind this classic fairytale shoot at Hothorpe Hall.
“I wanted to create a set of inspirational pictures showing a classic and elegant winter wedding; an achievable fairy-tale look that brides could easily incorporate into their own big day. There are so many fun and quirky themes and ideas out there but I think a lot of brides still just want a beautiful, elegant wedding where they get to feel like a princess for a day!”
“I purposely didn’t want it to be too trend-led, and wanted to create a look that is quite timeless rather than easily dateable; we stuck with a simple colour scheme of white and gold, with just a touch of sparkle. These shots also feature some beautiful details to show how you can bring a touch of luxury to your wedding with little touches like nice linen, a ceremony arch, a thoughtfully presented cake table, etc. Heidi at Extra Special Touch designed a personalised monogram which was embroidered onto the Top Table napkins; what a wow factor for your guests! They were also folded so that they could hold Leanne (Popplebird)’s beautiful menus.”
“Arches to create a focal point for your ceremony, or to frame your Top Table or cake table are gaining popularity, but many couples still don’t think to have one, so I wanted to show the impact this could make too. You’ll have put a lot of thought into the wedding cake you’d like, so you might as well show it off to the max!”
“I had seen Walnut and Willow’s work online and knew I really wanted to feature some of Lola’s incredible bouquets in the shoot – even when you’re holding them you can’t believe they’re not real, and how lovely to be able to keep your bouquet forever.”
“Hothorpe Hall were nothing but accommodating and helpful from first contact right up to the day itself, and I would heartily recommend this venue to any East Midlands bride- it’s a bit of a hidden gem not far from Lutterworth in Leicestershire and as well as the stunning hall you see in the shots here, they have a whole separate woodland complex for the more outdoorsy/boho brides so there really is something for everyone! I was blown away by the level of service and how helpful the staff were.”
“Fortunately all the professionals who contributed their services to this shoot were just a dream team and it was so much fun pulling the vision together with them beforehand, and the vibe on the day was relaxed and so much fun! Most of them I’d met or worked alongside previously, but photographer Kathryn, as with Walnut and Willow, was someone whose worked I’d fallen completely in love with since finding her online, and I knew that we HAD to have her as our photographer. She has an incredible eye and I just feel like she really creates atmosphere through the composition and tone of her shots – I was so thrilled she was up for being involved, and she blew us all away with the results!”
