Parisian Wedding Style – Styled Shoot with Parisian Wedding Details
Parisian Wedding Style
When I got the opportunity from Mary-Ann from Thomasina Brides to be part of this Styled Shoot in my hometown of Nottingham, with Parisian Wedding Style twist, how could I say no?
The shoot itself was located in Nottinghams old Lace Market area. This area of Nottingham, holds strong ties for me – from being a young baby in a pram in my parents hip 1070’s T-shirt shop, to my first fashion job after art college and now I have such strong links to Nottingham Lace itself – being part of a styled shoot around the Lace Market was a dream come true! The Lace Market is full of narrow street with old Lace Factories and has a true Parisian feel to it.
The brief was inspired by 1950’s and 60’s Parisian wedding style, yet retaining a modern contemporary appeal. Mary-Ann found a local team of wedding and bridal suppliers, specialising in handmade luxury pieces. Elena from Elen Studio Photography took amazing Parisian Wedding Style images. Elena’s photography was so amazing from the day, East Midlands Wedding Magazine featured the shoot, and even put one of our images on the front cover!
Bridal Boudoir at The Lace Market Hotel, Nottingham.
The shoot started in the bridal suit at The Lace Market Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of the historical lace market. A Parisian bridal boudoir feel was created with Extra Special Touch monogram lingerie including a Silk Camisole, French Knickers and Robe. Our luxurious handmade lingerie can be embroidered with your own monogram, making a unique bride gift for the morning of her wedding.
Our handmade bridal garters are made in our Nottingham Studio from locally made Nottingham Lace and high quality silk tulle and lace. All our garters are made to order and can be discreetly embroidered inside with brides name and wedding date.
Tablescape, Flowers and Stationery
The stationery was provided by Carolyn from Gray Starling Designs. She used the romance of Paris and Anemones to create a monochrome vintage-vibe, and Extra Special Touch provided printed linen menus. e can print your menu design onto frayed raw edge linen, or traditional hemstitch napkins.
Flowers were provided by Akito Floral Designs, with beautiful bouquet and buttonholes with Ranunculus, Brunia and berries. This is our silk tulle Martha garter, with Akito stunning bridal bouquet.
Beautiful cakes were supplied by The Sugared Rose, stunning monochrome wedding cake and delicate handmade flower cupcakes.
Dress-less Bridal
Mary-Ann approached House of Ollichon for the bridal outfits. Trouser suits are set to be a big trend this year, and they fitted perfectly with the Parisian Chic theme. The open-back drape suit worked beautifully with Thomasina’s handmade headpieces.
House of Ollichon also offers bridal two piece skirts and tops, and these looks stunning when combined with Extra Special Touch garters which are handmade with Nottingham Lace.
