Pastel Wedding Inspiration With Personalised Monogrammed Napkins
Perfectly pretty and romantic, this styled shoot at Patricks Barn was an absolute dream to be involved in. We were thrilled to contribute numerous products including personalised monogrammed napkins, bridal garter and personalised handkerchiefs and ribbon details for the tables, all in pretty pastel shades to compliment the theme of the shoot. Dreamy…
Shoot photographer Kat Antos-Lewis shares the inspiration and thoughts behind this pretty pastel wedding inspiration…
“Every element of the pastel wedding styling was carefully selected in concert with my team of stylists and creators, with each detail purposefully customised and deliberately placed to ensure a common narrative throughout. To begin with I selected two exquisite hand-made dresses from Audrey Ashley Couture, which although very different from each other, both combine demure and sexy, traditional and modern.”
“The first dress features a high neck line, modest yet of elegant lace. To the lace skirt, was added a tulle overskirt attached by a pearl embroidered belt, providing a light and playful surprise element. The second is in a less-traditional, yet still very wedding-like lavender shade; floor-length with a split skirt, again providing opportunities for more formal images juxtaposed with playful movement shots.”
“The look was completed with flawless, accentuating make-up by Frey De Paoli and romantic hair by Your Event Stylist the perfect team for the occasion.”
“The groom’s suit was chosen from the range of Zebel Bespoke. The Albert three piece suit featuring a Cavani pin and printed lining, and as much thought went into its choice as for the dress. The distinctive tweed style herringbone check brings an eccentric flair to this classic style, and was a perfect fit for the surroundings.”
“More than ever, modern couples are embracing the ever-growing market for personalised wedding details when considering their décor, so details and coherency are incredibly important. From the bright floral displays, featuring wild foliage and seasonal blooms perfectly combined in arches and bouquets by floral designer Amanda Jane Flowers, and the custom stationery suite and scroll from Ever After Paperie, with beautifully hand-written calligraphy and detailing, to further bespoke hand-made details from Extra Special Touch, including the bride’s garter and pretty embroidered and personalised handkerchiefs and ribbons for the table settings, and Bespoke Bakes’ sumptuous cake pops and meringue kisses (as delicious as they look!) – every aspect of this shoot was built from the ground up; every creative detail by design to produce the timeless-yet-unique whole, that any bride-to-be can take inspiration from. For the finishing touches, Kat chose to work with stylist Lily & Lavender Events, who provided some key styling details.”
“The 17th century venue (Patrick’s Barn) is a real treasure, still relatively undiscovered, buried deep in the Sussex countryside. “Set in 11-acres of grounds, which include a 400-year old oak tree and giant Californian Redwood-lined driveway, the combination of the warmth and soft tones inside the wedding barn, and the natural shades and hidden playful places of the gardens, all against the backdrop of the grand old manor house, provided the perfect setting for us to achieve our ambitions with this shoot.”
