Chris and Ash – A wedding anniversary shoot with luxury personalised wedding details
Luxury personalised wedding details
Chris and Ash are a same-sex couple from Yorkshire, who tied the knot in 2013. In the run-up to their wedding anniversary, they contacted photographer Lianne Gray Photography to ask if she would take some photos of them. Their intention was to capture their fun-loving relationship, as well as deep love for one another, in celebration of their anniversary.
Leanne decided to go a little further. After contacting some local suppliers (me included), it was agreed that we would stage a mini wedding for Chris and Ash with personalised wedding details. We wanted them to feel special. These photographs are just a tiny window into their lives together, but I think it’s clear to see how deeply this couple feel for each other. True soul mates that inspire joy in all those around them.
The Venue
The very unique Yorkshire Sculpture Park was selected as the venue for Chris and Ash’s mini wedding photoshoot.
This award-winning park filled with art and sculptures and set in the most impressive 500-acre landscaped garden, was the perfect setting for capturing stunning photographs of this happy couple. The sentimental details that we surprised them with just added to this special and memorable day.
The Cake
With an aim to keep Chris and Ash’s love as the main focus for the shoot, we decided to keep the rest of the details fairly subtle. The simplicity of the cake complimented the day perfectly. White Rose Cake Design did an excellent job at creating this flawless, understated cake which blended beautifully into the natural surroundings of Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The flowers
In contrast to the other details, Pamella Dunn added a little eye-catching colour, choosing deep red flowers as button-holes for our 2 dashing gentlemen.
Personalised wedding details
Of course, you can’t plan a wedding – big or small without adding personalised wedding details to make the day feel unique and special.
Personalised Card
A stylish card was designed and created for Ash and Chris by Quaintly Kate – who specialises in wedding stationery and occasion cards.
Personalised Handkerchiefs
Then it was my turn to treat this happy couple to their own personalised handkerchiefs.
Personalised handkerchiefs make a wonderful gift for the important people attending a big day. Or, opt for personalised napkins which make perfect favour and place names for those looking to add elegance and sophistication to a wedding. Both can be embroidered with name, initials, wedding date, personalised monogram or other design of your choice. I used a classic black thread to embroider the Groom’s names, their important role in the big day and the date of their wedding on to these luxury 100% cotton hankies with a satin band woven into them. The Grooms were elated with their gifts and loved having something to remind them not only of the fun photoshoot, but also of their wedding day.
Everyone was thrilled with the photographs; most importantly, our happy couple. Ash and Chris embraced the chance to relive their wedding day and receive VIP treatment again. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to send my personalised handkerchiefs and hear of the delight that they brought.
